Pole Climber : addition/subtraction game where you help a pole climber in a circus get to the top of his pole. Every time you get one right he climbs, but he can't hold on without starting to slip, so you must be quick in answering the questions. Think Ahead : given a grid of numbers, you can play against another person or the computer. You can only choose numbers from horizontal rows while the computer can only pick from vertical columns. Knights Move : 4 robots are stuck on a 9 square chess board. They can only move as Knights can move (there are instructions). You have to switch the green and red knights in the fewest number of moves possible. maths year 2000

Mastermind : given 8 guesses, determine the colors and positions of 2-6 pegs. After each guess, black pegs are shown for correct position and color, white pegs show correct color only. Can be played multiple times. usu

Towers of Hanoi : given a block with 3 pegs, disks are shown from largest to smallest on one peg. The goal is to use the fewest number of moves to get the disks so they are in the same order on another peg. Play with 2-8 disks. usu
Traffic Jam : 2 groups of 3 people run into each other. You must exchange places so that they all can continue in the direction they were heading. Kind of like "peg" puzzles. math forum
Triomino : given triangle pieces with a green, blue or red dot at each vertex, move the pieces around to form shapes by matching up the colors. usu

Chaos Game : use the rules of fractals to make a point end up in a given target shape if each time you click it moves half the distance towards one of the vertices. bu
Elliptic Billiards : choose a circular or elliptic table. Given the original position of the ball, determine the ending position after a given number of bounces (choose this in the beginning). unice
Fill and Pour : given 2 unmarked cylinders with heights known but bases congruent, buttons let you fill, empty and/or pour the liquid between cylinders. The goal is to be able to measure a set amount of liquid. You are told when you are correct. usu
One Straight Cut : given a shape, figure out where to cut the shape, in the fewest places, in order to move the part cut off so that it makes a square. maths year 2000
Quadramania : related to tetris. Given a rectangular grid, shapes are going to be dropped onto the grid. If you can make rectangles that are at least 2x3, they will be eliminated and you will get points. The key controls are listed on the screen in very small print. Directions are given also. Tangrams : given the tangram pieces on the work space, choose a shape from below to model. The outline is shown on the work space. Drag the pieces to cover the outline. Pieces can be rotated by dragging a vertex. Click the "hint" button to have the outline of one of the pieces shown on the large shape. If repeated will show another one. usu
Turtle Geometry : command the turtle to move by using individual commands for moving forward or turning. Angles on turns must be chosen from possilbilities and the number of steps to move forward must be decided. Make the turtle move in blank space or move it through a maze, around a given shape or rock. usu
